What is HotDocs Player?

HotDocs Player lets you generate customized documents from HotDocs templates that have been created by authorized HotDocs publishers. These publishers (LexisNexis and WestLaw, for example) make and sell ready-to-use templates for a variety of organizations. These are the only templates that work in HotDocs Player.

HotDocs does not sell any pre-packaged templates or automated forms. Instead, we give you the tools you need to automate your own documents and turn them into HotDocs templates. HotDocs Player does not allow you to design or use your own templates. If you wish to create your own templates, you’ll need HotDocs Developer. Developer can also be used to create documents from your templates, as can HotDocs User.

Just like HotDocsUser, HotDocs Player guides you through a question-and-answer interview to gather information and assembles a custom document based on your answers. You can then modify the document in your word processor if needed.

HotDocs Player can be obtained free of charge from your forms publisher or from the Downloads section of the HotDocs website.
